Park Lane Stables RDA, in Teddington, London, has achieved its ambitious crowd funding target of £1 million. The group has been fundraising to try to buy the stables, since their landlord announced he was not planning to extend their lease.

EQUITANA, the World Equestrian Show, scheduled for March 13-21, 2021 in Essen, Germany, cannot take place due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic. "This decision was not easy for us, but we made it in consultation with our exhibitors and partners," said Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein, CEO of organizer Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH. "Looking at the evolution of the ongoing pandemic it is unclear when events will be able to reopen safely in the coming months. We are currently feeling the uncertainty among our exhibitors as well. Our decision has now provided planning certainty for all participants.”
The latest Covid-19 lockdown has delayed World Horse Welfare re-opening its four Visitor Centres until the Easter holiday. Britain’s largest horse rescue and rehoming charity had planned to re-open its centres - which have been closed since the first lockdown in March 2020 - in mid-February. However, following the latest resurgence of the virus and resulting nationwide lockdown, the charity is now aiming to open for Easter.
