It was only Chanie's second show, and her Mother, Karen, had given up her entry in the Carriage Driving Magazine Pleasure Driving class in order to let her compete in the 10-14 Years Young Driver. Chanie promptly went on to win and Karen then had to give up her entry in the exercise class so that she could compete in the Championship. Driving her versatile skewbald Dartmoor Cross Lowermoor 606, but better known as Banjo, judge Caroline Douglas placed her top and an overwhelmed Chanie suddenly found herself being presented with her award by HM The Queen accompanied by HRH Prince Philip. It was a truly special day for a lovely family. One they will never forget and a delight to witness.
